Saree Bag with Pouch

What better way to prove that we don’t need any more plastic shopping bags than to bring your reusable, stylish, up-cycled bag with you when you go shopping.

Our saree bags are made by a small women’s group in a small village in the hill country of Sri Lanka. They independently collect hundreds of unwanted sarees and turn them into functional bags.

Each bag comes with an attached stuff pouch and draw string so you can easily pack your shopping bag, throw it in your purse, backpack or pocket, and head out for the day. Don’t leave home without it, and don’t forget to say “no thanks” to plastic bags.
